In the meantime, you can get some great air conditioning tips from our team here. We’ve rounded up all the best of the best tips so you can have a flaw-free summer. Just make sure that you abide by our tips and reach out for help if it goes any further.

Keep These Tips in Mind

Nothing can ever be perfect, but you can get as close to perfect as possible with these summer air conditioning tips.

1. Know When to Upgrade

We talked about this in our last blog post, but it’s important to upgrade your home’s thermostat if you don’t already have the right equipment in your home. When we say this, we’re talking about Wi-Fi and digital thermostats in particular. If you don’t already have one of these in your home, then you’re not getting the highest level of efficiency and comfort you could be getting. Don’t settle—get the right work and equipment from our team.

2. Run Your AC Responsibly

Know how to run your AC responsibly. When we say this, we’re talking about all the tips we have listed in this blog post, but also knowing to run your thermostat at a mild temperature rather than dialing it down to a super low temperature to try and cool your home off faster. This never works and it’s going to increase the cost of your AC in the long term. Be mindful when it comes to your AC usage.

3. Always Go for Maintenance

You want to schedule an appointment for a tune-up every single spring. Skipping out on maintenance is only going to cost you more in the long run. How? The money you think you’re “saving” by skipping out on maintenance will be spent trying to repair your air conditioner down the line.

4. Do What You Can

Go outside and clean off the outdoor unit before you get into the thick of the AC season. Brush off any of the dust, leaves, twigs, etc. that have gathered here through the winter and summer to give your air conditioner a clean foundation.

5. Change Your Filter

Change the filter in your air conditioning system once a season. If you don’t already do this, make sure you adopt it as a part of your life now. Pick up your phone and schedule a reminder in your calendar at least once a season. This is going to help keep your entire HVAC system healthy throughout the year and it will decrease your chances of running into AC repair trouble.
